Nostalgia for the Landscape | Embroidery over Painting |90×120 cm | 2021
The Ariguanabo lagoon was filled for the last time after a cyclone in 1979. The community of Cayo la Rosa that lived surrounded by water now lives next to an absent landscape. In a nearby town, an abandoned painting without a year or a signature keeps the trace of this place. The embroidered intervention on the painting symbolically reunites the town and the landscape.

La laguna Ariguanabo estuvo llena por última vez después de un ciclón en 1979. La comunidad del Cayo la Rosa que vivía rodeada por el agua vive ahora junto a un paisaje ausente. En un pueblo cercano, una pintura abandonada sin año ni firma guarda el rastro de este lugar. La intervención bordada sobre el cuadro vuelve a juntar simbólicamente el pueblo y el paisaje.
